Trout Commander
Great report! I love catching those wild 'little' 'uns. I think you have inspired me to start making plans to pay a visit to Justin down there. Thanks for the report! Some of your wild trout postings had me jonesing for a trip myself! That reminds me, I need to follow your blog with me new account since I switched the blog over. Great report- checked out your blog and I really dig the photos. Mind my asking what camera you're using? Mine's on its last legs and I'm looking to find a new one before spring The pics that are posted on this thread were taken with the 5mp camera built into my Sansung Captivate (Galaxy S Android). Any others on my blog were shot with out little Kodak point and shoot. It is 10mp but nothing fancy, 3x zoom etc.. It is an Easy Share I believe, I will report back with the model. It would definitely be inexpensive enough for a river camera but it is pretty limited. Those are great pics for a camera phone! You did well...that's a tough river. I am really pleased with the pictures this camera phone produces! I wasn't going to post these yet, but since we are on the subject, would you believe my phone took the attached pics of the sz16 Magic PTN I tied last night for the fly swap????? Not great quality as far as pictures of flies go, but I was blown away that a camera phone could do that! The darker copy has only been resized with no other editing, and the brighter copy was then "Auto Fixed" in Picasa. Thank you, and now you know why it's taking me so long to get your BOB back to you! lol Nice report...looks like you had a grand time...If you looking for a new camera you might want to take a look at the Pentax W90...picked one up to replace my old Pentax WPi that I thought my daughters lost...The Canon D10 is nice too, but I didnt like the shape. Thanks, I DID have a grand time! The only reason I would get a new one is to upgrade to an underwater/waterproof point and shoot. I will do this at some time if I can find an affordable one when the mood strikes and funds allow. For now I am content with the Kodak mentioned above (because its already paid for!). The batteries were dead and I didn't have any with me Saturday so the phone pulled backup duty. I have spent most of my money on fly fishing and beer. The rest I just wasted.
