Crappie5 Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Martin, I found an article on KY3 about this years lows and an Army Corps of Engineers spoksperson stated that the recod low was 881 in 1965.
rps Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 At 881, Holiday Island Marina would be high and dry and the main channel out in front of it would be 5 or 6 feet deep.
Martin Posted February 5, 2011 Author Posted February 5, 2011 I doubt the Holiday Island Marina was even there in 1965. I was right about the "dark ages"....I was 15, not in my twenties. Close. There is a band of tree's in Cow Creek that the tip tops were just barely showing at 881....In the years since, I've spooned alot of Largemouths out of that band of tree's. (up until the big die off). It can still be good for Kentuck's if the lake level / time of year is right. Wish I could get a glimpse of the lake at 881 now, but I wouldn't want it to stay there...lol
