Members Fat Boy Posted February 10, 2011 Members Posted February 10, 2011 I put on around 7 at Cape Fair and ran down, started with a blade and caught them good. As the sun came up I had to switch to a jig in the bushes but they were eating it. Not alot of size on the blade but the better fish were in the bushes, broke 3 off and my best was around 5.5 or so just lots of good fish. My best 5 would have pushed the scales at or near 17. the last bush I threw into the pig flashed on the jig came back and got it it was 7 or better as I got it out of the bush my wife nudged me and sayed I'm cold can you put more wood on the fire and start coffee we need to get to work. Man was it fun upto that point.
Cajunangler Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 So I guess myself, along with others, are trying to read between the lines and determine if your report is fact or fiction? If it is fact, great, but if this was a dream you were having until your wife nudged you just let us know. I wouldn't have figured the lake was even accessible just yet but I am sure there are several of us that would like to know. I might get to come down this weekend and if fish are actually biting, that is even better.

podum Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 It is both fact and fiction. Been there for a month . . . I wish I had more time more than I wish I had more money.
Sam Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 I'd say only in a dream would you be catching bass out of flooded bushes with the lake at 906. The bushes are 'way up on the bank in the snow, and how'd that wet line work for you at ten below zero this morning?
Members Fat Boy Posted February 11, 2011 Author Members Posted February 11, 2011 I must start with saying my truck showed -15 on the way to work on thursday morning, it would take a snowcat and maybe a D9 cat to get my boat from my shop with the snow drift in front of th door. When I looked at the lake on Tue, eve the water was hard down to the boat dock at CF. The only bushes a man could fish are 10ft from waters edge. I was just messing around guys haveing a little fun in light of the weather. I am sorry.
Gone Fishing Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 No need to apologize. I think it was obvious you were joking. Atleast it was something to read with hardly no one being able to get out.
redbud Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Spring will return someday and your dream will become a reality. For now ,another log on the fire sounds like the best idea.Landlocked here for days, I dont think I can watch another fishing show.
