The closest is ranchette. It is even on the same side of the river as you. Beware though that you WILL be carrying your canoe/kayak if you intent to float right now.

Thanks for the maps, those are nice. I am not planning on going anytime soon, I just have spring fever really bad, and decided to do some research on some planned trips for latter in the year. I know CC sinks after Yellville, so the timing will have to be perfect for this trip to happen, but it would be fun.

timing is critical. If the water is too high it will be stained and muddy. If too low lots of dragging. Let me know when you want to go, I am down.

Anybody know of how long of a float that is? I might be interested in that myself.

There is an access about a mile below the 101 bridge. It's the "Lower Access" which has better parking and an actual ramp.

There actually is no 101 access. the only place below the slab is the lower access.
