minnowhooker Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Found the crappie in 23' to 28'today on the bottom up to 10' from the top in the Big Sac arm. Water temp on front graph 38 on the back one 40 so about 39. I was using orange and chartruse on one and smoke glitter on the other....I think they would have hit anything.
straw hat Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Sounds like you had a great time. How many keepers did you get and were they black or white crappie? Those I got into shallow last Fri were all blacks. Sort of curious if the whites were deeper.
minnowhooker Posted February 23, 2011 Author Posted February 23, 2011 It was split about even 7 were white and the other 8 were blacks. It was fun, this is my favorite time of the year to crappie fish. I seen 4 boats and I was on the water from 9:00 till 1:30
