P-38's are very cool. My wife had a P5 (sort of the P-38's Grandkid - uses the same magazine) for her personal handgun for a long time before she went to a .357 revolver. If you don't mind saying - how much did you have to shell out?

A have a C&R FFL, so I bought it directly from AIM. $347 to my door in the BBT. That includes $10.00 "hand picked" charge, and $17.37 shipping. If you don't have an FFL. a licensed dealer or pond shop will charge an additional $20-$30 transfer fee.

I don't know if the extra $10 for hand picked was even worth it. Almost all of them I have seen are in really good condition.

These are the P1 post WWII version with aluminum alloy frames. Very cool indeed.

Nice pistole. Hard to believe the thing is post WWII, looks like a lot newer gun. What year is that one produced approximately?

Walther used to make some fine guns, but the P22 pistol I owned was a jamming piece of junk.

Post WWII was just a model reference. This one is dated 5/1979. Only slight finish wear at the muzzle, sharp edges on the front of the slide, safety/decocker leaver, and lanyard ring. Bore is perfect, and no nicks or damage to the crown. All numbers match. Came with that really cool looking camo holster that appeared new, spare mag, and owners manual in English.

I fired a total of 100 rounds this range session, and had 100% reliability.

Great gun, glad to add it to the safe!
