slider Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 I used to use Maxima but switched to P-LINE it is very strong and not as pricey. DONT EVER GIVE UP MOSES WAS A BASKET CASE ONCE!
Members Fredrick Posted March 1, 2011 Members Posted March 1, 2011 I have been using bass pro 2 lb tourney though clear. I think clear is more invisible then the green. I love it I have had a buncha trout on it its been fun fighting with 1/2 pound of drag not a single break . With my tests it broke just under 5 pounds test after test. The abrasion resistance is great I tired an improved clinch to far up the line and the clinching time after time has not chewed up the line. Better then spiderwire 4 lb test by far. Best part is that its 275 yrds for 3.79. 10 out of 10!!! jagermeister anyone?
bigredbirdfan Posted March 1, 2011 Author Posted March 1, 2011 Thx to everyone for their input. I think I have some of that tourney 2lb I might try it. I love the Maximum line but I can buy a lot of excel and respool all the time and still have saved money. I have some maximum I have on a spinning rod that's been on for two years and it's had reel magic on it before and after every use and it's still as strong as the day I put it on. Good stuff. Not really familiar with P-Line other than braided and for Jig fishing 1/8 oz jigs fluro and braid won't work because they have no give. But fluro is the best for jig and float and braid is the best bass line.
Geoff Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 P-Line in Moss green. love the stuff. "When you do things right, people wont be sure you've done anything at all."
BredMan Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 I really liked Damyl Tectan when it was available at Cabalas but it's very difficult to find now. So I started using PLine and to me it's just as good. I have converted all my light reels to PLine CXX and PLine Floroclear in the light green colors. Pline CXX is available at BassPro in 2lb test.
