timsfly Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 Man would it be great to have a trout cam just like Bennett!! Haven't we tried this before?? I tried to get the Conservation Dept. to put in a web cam a few years ago, I was told it couldn't be done because of privacy issues, then they put one in at Bennett, a year later, go figure, it would be nice to have a web cam just to check water condtions, of course I would like to sit here at work and watch for fish being caught Tim Homesley 23387 st. hwy 112 Cassville, Mo 65625 Roaring River State park Tim's Fly Shop www.missouritrout.com/timsflyshop
Members Grant Miller Posted March 2, 2011 Members Posted March 2, 2011 There are a few who don't like the idea, but I think it would be great. I have the link for the one at Bennett saved as a shortcut on my toolbar. I check it at least a couple of times per day. mic Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 This is for those who are a fan of the new Trout Cam at the Bennett web page. I posted a positive comment on the Missouri Conservation Facebook page and asked for some in the other parks. If you can, please mark a like on the page and/or post a comment. Thanks in advance. http://www.facebook.com/mostateparks
ozark trout fisher Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 I hope they can get one at Montauk personally. That would not only give folks a good idea about water levels/clarity in the park but also what's going on in the Blue Ribbon area. USGS can give you a good idea, but that just tells you the water-flow, and you can't tell what the clarity is going to be like. I say they're a good idea at all the trout parks. I just don't understand the complaints against them in the least. The only complaint I can understand at all is cost-but the cost comes to almost nothing when compared to the cost of raising all the stockers and maintaining the campgrounds and such.
