rps Posted March 12, 2011 Posted March 12, 2011 I have admitted before I am not the best cold water fisherman. I enjoy going, but I rarely catch much. I need to work on that. Having said that, today was fair to good for me. I fished a new McRip for about an hour and a half. I obviously fished it in the wrong place or way. With the sun up and it warming up, I tied on a brown craw wart and hit points and banks that have given up wart fish before. Six fish with one solid keeper. Water temp was 49+/-. I ended the day trying to find walleye. They are really good at hiding from me.
techo Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 We didn't do as well as you. We went to the Aunt's Creek area and played with the boat. Was there a Champion owners tournament today? I saw more Champions that I have ever seen in one place on Table Rock today. What we did catch were small and in the 35 feet deep area of trees near points. White grub tail for us. Tim Carpenter
