Patrick M Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Got to the parking lot about 5:00 pm. fishing outlet 2 since the water was on. was there about 2 hours and probably caught 20 fish. used the same dark gray scud the whole time. had a nice fish on but lost it. It would have been the biggest I had ever caught. This trip reminded me why I fish.

I wish you would have gotten the big one. Your closing comment sums it all up. Good to hear about your trip.
barredrock Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 sounds great, thanks for posting, we will be there the 23-27th
Jack Jones Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 I've been there a few times not and got no where close to 20 fish in two hours. I was there for three hours and only caught one. What depth are you setting your tippet at below your float? I've been using scuds, but don't seem to get the same results as what I read. Care you help me with technique? Patrick M Posted March 16, 2011 Author Posted March 16, 2011 I fished a tapered leader. my float was set about 3 to 5 feet away from the bottom. i used a No. 4 split shot.
