Members steven.w.watkins Posted March 18, 2011 Members Posted March 18, 2011 Hello all, I am currently a middle school teacher in Oklahoma City. I grew up fishing but not fly fishing. I just bought a fly set up and would love to find someone to fish with and learn from (i'm willing to drive a few hours) I know the basics but could use some help. I am moving to Ft. Collins, Co in May and want to be able to jump into those Colorado creeks knowing what i'm doing. Any interested in meeting somewhere in april or early may? I'll buy lunch!
FishinCricket Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 You've come to the right place, then.. The fly fishermen here (act like they) know everything... Zach Bearden is from your area (and could use a friend ), look him up... Welcome to the sport of fly fishing, beware the snobbery... Zach Bearden Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Awww, I feel special. Cricket mentioned me Hey there! I'd love to fish with you. There are plenty of fish to be had in the Lower Illinois right now. Let me know if you would like to come down and fish. One of my ancestors has the name of Jasper Watkins, they've pretty much all headed on up to Washington state by now but you never know. "Its clearly Bree time baby!" Zach Bearden Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Oh, and another interesting fact. I fully intend to be in Fort Collins in August as a freshman at CSU. Maybe we can get some fishing done out there. "Its clearly Bree time baby!" Member: 2009 U.S. Youth Fly-Fishing Team. Competed Czech Republic. 7th Place Team Member: 2010 U.S. Youth Fly-Fishing Team.
