On The Fly 6 Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Got to spend the weekend on the White and had a great time, despite the weather and slow fishing. The water was up on Friday and Saturday and I fished at Norfork for the first time! Caught a few rainbows and brookies on an egg pattern, but they weren't consistent. On Saturday the rain and chilly conditions made fishing difficult but I still managed a few fish. Today I was able to fish at Cotter and caught a few on an elk hair caddis when there was a hatch. It was strange, the hatch would be heavy for about 15-20 minutes and then it would stop. I obviously need to learn more about the river to be more productive the next time I'm there. Perhaps I should hire a guide for the next trip! On The Fly 6 Posted March 29, 2011 Author Posted March 29, 2011 Haha, oh the weather was bad...but still managing to catch a brown, rainbow, and a brookie all in the same weekend made the fishing just a little better than the title reads. Did I mention the weather was bad? flytyer57 Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Did I mention the weather was bad? And the fishing was slow. There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.
On The Fly 6 Posted March 29, 2011 Author Posted March 29, 2011 That it was. Ive made my point.
