Oh Bob, you are too funny. Although Marty told me you were cropped out after you backed off too far from eating the spray from his wake...just repeating what he told me.

Yea Predator, it's tough to beat the flexibility that a good john boat offers. Nice rig!

Hey Dennis, is that the old State Park Marina? If so, I generally launch there. I'll watch for you.

Yes it is. I usually go there. I think they now call it Hartley?

Not big and not fast a lot like it's old owner. It gets me around the lake. Only have had it out a couple times and just getting it broke in.

The overhead picture of my boat was taken in 2004 off the Twin Bridges, long before Bob Bennett was ever a guide on Stockton Lake. Like I always say, often imitated, never duplicated.

By the way, my web site address is www.fishstockton.com and my phone number is 417-424-BASS. Any similar web sites or phone numbers were created by people who rode off the back of my hard work.

Also, we created the opportunity for this picture when the lake was calm and no other boats were in the area. Just want to say, these guys that get these big high powered bass boats which they drive too fast, because they see it on tv, are going to kill somebody or tear something up. Real dangerous and real expensive...

Marty, I agree about those guys and their fast boats. It is not a race track out there. I usually try to get up on plane and then go just fast enough to keep it there and run about 2500 to 3000 RPMs. I have a 200HP Suzuki 4 stroke and at this speed can talk to my fishing partner without having to raise my voice at all.

Mike and JBE, how do you like those boats? I finally decided to quit trailering mine everywhere so I might get rid of the Alumacraft. Nice boat but likes to beat the wife up on rough days on Stockton. I've always had an aluminum walleye boat and I suppose over the years we saved quite a bit on gas but my hind end says it's been a long day more often than I like anymore.

Nice rigs, RM and JBE thanks for sharing! You should hit Stockton sometime RM. I haven't hit any huge walleye there like the pic that Marty posted, but I'm gonna.

I really like my Reata Gilly. It's a fish and ski, not a hard core fishing boat. I'm no guide or tournament fisherman, just a weekend fisherman, so it suits me fine. It rides smooth in the water and is comfortable for the wife...although not as comfortable as the Celebrity runabout we had before. I've survived huge waves at Devils Lake with it, and the Evinrude will troll down to 2.5 mph. I use the bow mount for most of my trolling so I don't put a ton of hours on my big motor. One of these days (years) I might look at mounting a kicker on it. If I was a hard core fisherman, a 620 like Rangerman's would be the way to go. For a weekend guy like me, the Ranger Reata 210 is an awesome boat. I haven't been in a Triton fish and ski like JBE's, but I got a good look at one at Stockton last summer. I gotta tell ya, it looked like a sweet ride.

I forgot to add that mine is a 2006 model Triton Fish and Ski. It is a nice boat. I don't know if I could like anything any better as it is the first large boat that I've ever owned. My other boat is a 12 foot jon boat. I do like how quiet the 4 stroke is. May not be as fast as those hot rod bass boats out there, however even if I had a smaller bass boat and a larger motor than I do, I would still keep it around 25MPH. It is just me and being an old phart. I'm in no hurry anymore. In fact my wife recently bought me a sweat shirt with one of those orange farm implement signs painted on the back that says "Slow Moving Vehicle".
