Members phiber_optikx Posted April 13, 2011 Members Posted April 13, 2011 Fished sun up to sun down and only caught 2x 6" bass! Everyone else is having amazing luck but I can't catch a cold. I am shore fishing cedar ridge and tomorrow is my last afternoon here. Would really like some advice. Caught my bass on a rebel craw. Didn't have any second glances at other cranks, spinners, anything. What am I missing?

If I was fishing from the bank, I would be throwing a minnow looking "bettle-spin" type of lure.... throwing at a 45 degree angle as I walked the bank, letting it sink for a count of 5-6 (5-6 feet) and work it back slow........ Members phiber_optikx Posted April 13, 2011 Author Members Posted April 13, 2011 Thanks for the tip. May have to swing by the marina and grab some tomorrow. Just bobber fish them or what? Also, anyone getting any cats yet? I have been leaving lines out overnight but no nibbles...
straw hat Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 The cats are just beginning to hit well. They should be on the deep side of the points in about 10 to 15' of water. This time of year I prefer fresh cut bait or fairly large minnows. It should be good fishing for them today and tommorrow as a cold front approaches.
