Hunter91 Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Fished for crappie near Baxter yesterday for a few hours. Only caught 7. All were keepers between 12-16in. All were caught on swimmin minnows in less than 10 feet of water. Saw several cruising just like bass and even a couple suspended around trees. The water was pretty clear. The 16incher weighed in at 2.5lbs and is one of the biggest crappie I have ever caught. I agree that they are spawning now or on the verge of it.
