denjac Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Once again this gas price thing is getting serious . Find the sweet spot on your motor for maximum fuel conservation . Mine is around 3600 - 3800 which runs 45 mph. A typical run for me say putting in at moonshine beach fishing from point 1 to point 7 and all points in between around 8-9 gallons at this speed with a 225 Yamaha , so around $36. for gas . Running that same thing at hard pace around 15 - 18 gallons or $72 for gas. And I dont give up that much time going slower maybe 20 minutes total for the day . Dennis Boothe Joplin Mo.
