Members winstonone Posted August 5, 2008 Members Posted August 5, 2008 I am badly allergic to Poison Ivy. I've heard great things about the Technu wash as long as you get it washed off in the first couple hours after exposure. The worst I ever got it was from burning Ivy vines. I was 90% covered in a swollen weeping rash for a few weeks. Finally I went to the doctor and got the steroid shot and prednisone pack. I bought the Zanfel the same day and it pretty much eliminated the rash and itching instantly. It was completely gone three days later. I have had times where the Zanfel didn't appear to work after that, but it may have been a rash from something else. Either way they could charge double and I'd still pay for it.
fox_76 Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 Bleach. If you have been exposed and develop the rash, scrub the area real well preferably until almost raw, with a scouring pad of some sort at least something abrasive (sos pads not reccomended!) once cleaned dump some straight up bleach on it, don't worry about dilluting it, be tough, once you wake up from passing out with the pain the rash won't itch any more, and will be dried up the next day and gone the day after that. I thank my honery grandfather for this knowledge, he passed it on when I was younger (and more gullable). All jokes aside, it works!!! I didn't go to college,... I was too busy learning stuff. --Ted Nugent
