It rained 4" at my house in West Fayetteville, forecast was a 1/2" Scary b/c the national weather service forecast 2-3" friday night with another 2-3" sunday night. If this is true, I gotta move stuff to higher ground. and fast.... The hail beat holes in our roof skylights, AGAIN Might have to pay for another roof.

I was sort of hoping for a good hail storm here to get me a new roof, just a couple lost shingles I will have to replace myself.
jeb Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 Just discovered my rain gauge developed a crack over the winter. I had it turned upside down all winter, too. Oh well, there's another $5. So no idea how much we got in the PC area. A bunch, that's for sure. John B 08 Skeeter SL210, 225F Yamaha
RSBreth Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 I wonder how the water clarity is in the main lake, say around the point 5 area?
Guest Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 My best guess would be that its clear around point 5, maybe 10ft visibility or better. Yep the insurance will cover the roof, but the deductible drains my wallet. We had it replaced 2 years ago along with the skylights. I got up there during lunch and nailed a tarp over the skylight, which wasn't as bad this time. Only one hole so maybe I can patch it up with silicone when it dries out.
Quillback Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Man has it rained today in Bella Vista, it stopped for a while late this morning into the afternoon, but it's coming down again. Had hail last might and again this monrning, but fortunately no damage except for a couple of broccoli plants that got beat up. If there's a bright side to this, it's that fish populations are up in Beaver because of the high water the last couple of years, looks like it will be another hight water spring, the graph for the water level is shooting straight up, water should be in the buck brush soon.

Members Dan Sweeney Posted April 24, 2011 Members Posted April 24, 2011 I betcha it'll be brimmed out here soon. Our pond has risn over 5 feet since last night. Drove by Monte Ne early this afternoon and saw the mud blowing in the back of the cove by the road. Should be able to fish some flooded brush soon. Silence is golden.
hoglaw Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 Dying to fish today so the girlfriend and I went out to Lincoln Lake. Not sure if you guys are familiar with it. Anyway, the island with the main ramp was under two feet of water. The creek was roaring chocolate milk at the put-in. We went all the way to the back of the lake and it was the same story back there. That creek is MOVING. Water is almost over the top of the drain in the middle. It's still clear-ish in the middle, but very muddy on both ends.
