Looks like we're at the 2008 water levels and current. 48,500 cfs through Table Rock Dam. If what the Corp told me yesterday is correct, Beaver is releasing the same cfs.

Noted the White River level rose sufficiently yesterday late to 130,000 cfs. I wonder if that was a record. http://waterdata.usgs.gov/usa/nwis/uv?site_no=07048600

Table Rock is still below 930 which is a real good thing. With a break in rainfall, hopefully they can curve the level downward before it starts raining again.

Just heard they are going to open the gates more so be ready for more current this is from a reliable person that knows what's going on be safe everyone.

So from what I just saw on KY3 news at noon, they are now upping the release thru the gates to 52,600cfs.

So if you add that 52.6k to the 14.4k released by the generators... that's the most water I've ever heard of (67,000cfs).

We are probably going to see significant changes up there when the water finally does go down.

If they are releasing 67000 cfs how are they going to stop the lake. It is currently a couple of feet over the top of the pool. When you add the 40-50000 cfs Beaver is dumping to what is flowing in from all of the streams it is no wonder the lake is still rising quickly. Are they going to keep waiting like they did 3 years ago. They can't wait too long or they'll have to open the 500 year gates - God forbid!

From Pointe Royale

AT 7:30AM THIS MORNING COUNTY COMMISSIONER JIM STRAFFAS NOTIFIED ME OF THE FOLLOWING FLOW INCREASES FOR TABLEROCK DAM.

CURRENTLY THE FLOW IS AT 50,000 cfs. (THIS IS 2,000 cfs THAN 3 YEARS AGO).

AT 10AM - 65,000 cfs

NOON - 80,000 cfs

I HAVE STAFF GOING DOOR TO DOOR NOTIFYING RESIDENTS ON NORWOOD AND SHERWOOD INFORMING THE RESIDENTS.

To put these numbers into perspective, Lake Taneycomo water level below the dam in feet above sea level :

0 units = 701.3 is the usual

4 units = 710.2 or thereabouts

4 units plus gates all 10 gates open 1 foot = 724.6 parking lot very much underwater

The lowest fish holding tanks at the ShepHills Hachery would flood with 10 more feet of water.

By the way, I have it on good authority that the "1000yrs flood" auxiliary spillway gates will never be opened unless Beaver were to collapse or breach in such a way that we would be facing holding that entire lake in a moments notice.

I'm in the Fall Creek condos. Evacuations were 'suggested' this morning in all of the condos along the water. Just (2 minutes ago) got an automated Code-Red phone call that the Corps is increasing the spill-rate and a 3' rise is expected. That would put it at 26' since Friday.

While I was the taking pictures today....

They have already started clearing out the lower holding areas to release the trout... these bends hold the 10-12 in trout...

Here is what I heard today... at FULL the turbines can push 15,500 cfs.. everything over that is the spillways..

I was shown a way today to really see how much water was coming though 1 gate open 1 foot (about 10am) .....

it was about 6,780 full bath tubs... that 1 gate per second
