Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted July 26, 2006 Root Admin Posted July 26, 2006 4 units running again but not as high and hard as last night. Headed out about 7 to KOA and worked a medium shad style rogue suspended against the south bank a couple of drifts- nothing. Threw a 1/8th oz jig the rest of the trip. Caught one rainbow same bank, the brown in the pic below Lookout Island about 500 yds against the bluff bank working the jig slow-slow, trying to keep it on the bottom. Another brown down at the mouth of Fall Creek, smaller. Still not sure why they aren't hitting jigs as well as usual. But I'll keep trying.
WebFreeman Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 Your standard sculpin color? Those browns are beautiful.... “Many go fishing all their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.” — Henry David Thoreau Visit my web site @ webfreeman.com for information on freelance web design.
loo10 Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 From picture, it looks like white. Rich Looten Springfield, Missouri "If people don't occasionally walk away from you shaking their heads, you're doing something wrong."- John Gierach
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted July 26, 2006 Author Root Admin Posted July 26, 2006 Yes but I caught all of the trout on white including this one. He fought as hard as any brown I've ever caught. 5 minutes of nose-to-the-bottom.
gonefishin Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 That is a beautiful fish. Great colors. I would rather be fishin'. "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote." Benjamin Franklin, 1759
