Brian K. Shaffer Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 Those are some of the best pictures yet of how the upper end parking lots have lasted out this devastating rainstorm. And that was at 5pm.. the height .. and the hopeful fallout of the waters wrath. Great shots of the mudslide on the dam.. and chute 1 which I didn't get to see first hand. The resolution is very good on whatever camera you are using. It's so disgusting and yet so mesmerizing at the same time. I can't seem to look away.. but yet.. I must. Ugh! The access at Pointe looks sickening.. I love that little spot. I can't imagine how this will change the features. Nice job David, and your Jeep looks awesome by the way. That's a nice rig Brian Just once I wish a trout would wink at me! ozarkflyfisher@gmail.com I'm the guy wearing the same Simms longbilled hat for 10 years now.
Members OldTackleCollector Posted April 28, 2011 Author Members Posted April 28, 2011 Thanks Brian, for your kind words. Actually, the Jeep is my wife's. She's out of town on a business trip, so I thought I'd be nice and keep her battery charged up for her....He He! They are fun. - David
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 28, 2011 Root Admin Posted April 28, 2011 Thanks for posting. I was wondering what the PR access looked like. I bet you anything a person could catch some crappie there at the boat ramp! Seriously! Slide a boat in and fish the cove.

Members OldTackleCollector Posted April 29, 2011 Author Members Posted April 29, 2011 Some miscellaneous TR Dam area pics from between 5-6 p.m. today..... View betwixt the branches, from the trail below the boat ramp. Very sad indeed. Same structure. Shot of the #1 outlet parking lot, from the Dam viewing area trail. Trying to keep the hatchery erosion at bay. A lotta water! One of the world's strongest pigeons roost. Water level gage near the generation outlet, just for the record. Edit - One more pic showing the water level completely up to the Outlet 3 area. - David
Brian K. Shaffer Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Those are the cleanest most crisp shots ... nice work. Just once I wish a trout would wink at me! ozarkflyfisher@gmail.com I'm the guy wearing the same Simms longbilled hat for 10 years now.
Members OldTackleCollector Posted April 29, 2011 Author Members Posted April 29, 2011 Thanks again Brian, that 1st shot of the billboard is so ironic. It says "He Lives Here", but sadly and unluckily, it's literally true.

What I like is the Why don't you (live here) part of the billboard. That flooded building in the background is one reason not to live there!
