I have a 1990 s-10 and I noticed the other day something not right when I accelerated. A jerking motion ever so slightly and then noises from the rear of the truck. Just kept getting worse over the course of 2 days. Went out yesterday after driving home from work and saw grease splattered above the back axle yoke up onto the underside of the bed. I'm guessing a bearing of some kind is going out? Maybe u-joints? There is also a low pitched humming noise that I can hear going down the road. Feels like the rear axle is holding back with resistance when I go down the road. Any thoughts out there on this one? I am going to get it fixed next week, but was hoping to have a better idea what it is.
