denjac Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 My son Jason took this picture yesterday. Dennis Boothe Joplin Mo. For a nation to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle." ~ Winston Churchill ~
Brian K. Shaffer Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Yeah.. I still wouldn't shoot that shoot in a kayak... Still a little too much drop for my tastes. Great picture denjac! Just once I wish a trout would wink at me! ozarkflyfisher@gmail.com I'm the guy wearing the same Simms longbilled hat for 10 years now.
Wayne SW/MO Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 It's hard to put it in perspective from that angle, but I've seen it with a 3',4' (?) drop. I've often wondered how high BS would have to be and how much release from TR to simply make a bump at Powersite. BS has a 695 top of flood pool, but I don't know the heigth of the Powersite dam. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Members OldTackleCollector Posted May 1, 2011 Members Posted May 1, 2011 Here's a fantastic flood video of the Powersite and Table Rock Dams from 4/26/11, it starts at the 2:07 mark.
