I mentioned it'd be interesting to see where the mud line is and she was all for a boat ride. So we motored down to the dam and back. Starts to clear up some just past Clifty arm. But really doesn't go clear until the Lost Bridge area. So still lots of dirty water out there. Kind of sucks. Water temps were from 68-70 through that whole stretch. I think between the water being muddy and kind of cold for most folks to enjoy, the wake boaters were not out in force. Way fewer boats than we expected to see, for sure. The wind might have had something to do with it, too. It was really blowing out there. And the PC parking lot was far from being crowded. Probably not even half full when we left about 1:30. jay bird Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 I put in at lost bridge south and ran up clifty also yesterday am. Water was clearing a little up by clifty going towards hogscald a little maybe 2-3 ft visability, point 5 was pretty muddy, did not run up towards the dam at all. My 7 year old did manage to catch his first striper on his zebco, on his second cast. Fish was only about 20 inches long, but it sure made that zebco zing. Hope it clears by the weekend.

Quillback Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 I went out early this AM from Lost Bridge North, motored over to Honey cove looking for a topwater bite, didn't see any fish chasing shad, didn't get any hits on various topwaters, water was murky in that area. Went up to the Indian creek area, again no topwater love, did manage to scratch out 4 black bass but I had to work for them. Water around Lost Bridge North is the clearest, maybe 4 feet of viz, which sounds good, but before the floods it was around 20 feet of viz.
