Any one know what the water temps are on the dam end of the lake? Are the bass in the tree lines out a bit or up shalower? I'm thinking spin. baits, senkoes, flukes, jigs and c rigs. Am I right or is other stuff working better right now? Any top water bite?

Don't know. Headed there shortly, though. Water temps in the PC area were in the 59-60 range yesterday, but the water is very muddy yet. Nothing seemed to work very well around there, at least for me.

Water temps up near the dam were pretty much the same. Clarity was 10+ feet in most areas.

Wife wanted to go out on the boat for a little while yesterday, to get the 7 month old Shepherd puppy used to it. Anyway, water temp in the Prarire Creek cove was 69 at about noon. Crazy that it went up 10 degrees in 2 days! I didn't get a chance to do much real fishing with 2 big dogs and the wife in the boat. But we did see a sad scene while driving home down Old Prarire Creek road. Folks have been lined up along the road lately fishing. Some guy was carrying a stringer of black bass to his truck. Looked like mostly pregnant females. Nothing huge, but still. Idiots.

Hate to see bass being kept, especially egg laden females. Wow, amazing how much water temps have jumped.

As the rich get richer and the poor get poorer you will see a lot more of that I guess. My Grandfather told me that you could tell that the great depression was over when you saw a rabbit cross the road without someone chasing after it.

Funny how everyone has their fish they want to see released, bass fisherman think nothing about throwing a 24in walleye in the live well during a bass tournament to eat later, or keep a limit of stripers(that can't reproduce in the lake)or how some people will cringe over a stringer of rainbows being carried away. Myself I catch and release all fish, I have even gone cat fishing and released all my fish, but if there is someone there that wants any fish besides a bass I will offer the fish to them, even though the bass reproduce in the lake better than any fish except maybe whites.

But if the current economic trend continues there will be a LOT fewer people that will be able to buy big bass boats with 250hp motors and fish tournaments and look at bass as a money fish or care about those who do(why should they)but I hope the art and love of fishing survives among all the classes and doesn't become a sport of kings like I saw in Europe.

I know there will always be folks that keep fish. But what I meant it was it's a shame those fish made it all the way to another spawing season and get taken out just short of putting more bass into the lake for all of us to enjoy.

Guys, are the ramps and courtesy docks usable at Lost Bridge North or South? Thinking about trying that end of the lake if I can get in. It's an hour and a half drive, so trying to find out about the ramps before I make the long drive. Thanks for any info- well it's raining again here this morning in Gentry so don't know!..

The courtesy ramp at Lost Bridge North is usable, BUT the walkway is about 5 feet away from the bank so you have to wade through some shallow water for a few feet to get to it. Dunno about Lost Bridge South.
