Trying to be funny, I replaced my husband's background of a picture that some one took under water at Taneycomo of some trout with a pic of Cindy Garrison of Get Wild. Well, after the funny wore off, he wanted to put back up the picture of the trout...and it is gone. He originally got it off of here so I am hoping it is still there somewhere....

PLEASE help me get the trout pic back. I guess I should be glad he wants the trout over Cindy Garrison.....

If you are using Windows XP, ME or 98 you should be able to right click on your screen, select properties, in the window that opens select the desktop tab then scroll through the avalable images to find it. It may not be named trout. You may have to click on any of them you dont understand until you find it.

Hope this helps.

I would rather be fishin'.

the problem is, when ever you download something else from Explorer, it replaces what you had previously downloaded. So, to make peace, I NEED that picture again........

There were some good pics posted in an earlier topic a couple of months ago that were to be used as screen save images. But I don't remember which form topic.

Maybe the poster can help.

That was one of them. The other one had more trout in it, but if you can't find that one, this one will work!! Thank you.

The other picture had the front trout looking back just a bit and there was actually trout lined up behind the front one. I remember my husband saying something about you could see the scuds coming off the bottom.

Thank you all again!!

The problem here is that Internet explorer tries to be too helpful. If you see a picture that you like, you can simply right click it and set as wallpaper. This is easy, but if you change, the old pic goes away. IE stores your pic in a temporary folder, then assumes you are done with it and deletes it. To ensure that you never lose another one:

Right click on the photo you want

Select Save As

Save the picture to your wallpapers folder

(you can create a wallpapers folder on your C:\ so it is easy to find)

Then go to your desktop

right click

select properties

Select desktop tab

Browse (there is a button) for your wallpaper (in your C:\wallpapers folder)

Select the one you want

Click OK

This way, the pic will be there even if you change.

I hope this helps
