Members Travis Archie Posted May 17, 2011 Members Posted May 17, 2011 Hey Fellers, Wanting to know the water levels at Blackjack Access, hoping to do my annual memorial day camping/fishing trip up there, wanting to know what the little camping area looks like, and what the bank fishing area looks like at the confluence of brush creek and the sac....thank you veddy veddy much
BilletHead Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Travis, I fished there today with a friend. We launched and fished down towards the bridge at 54 highway. Caught some nice crappie. Stockton is generating 24/7 right now so the water is real high. They have done some work at the access and have a new outhouse. Camping area and parking lot is in good shape. Conservation was there today doing some work on the road back to brush creek. Stockton is up and I would guess this will be the way they run the water for a while. But we all know this is subject to change with the ones that call the shots. Marty Okey dokey, thank you very much sir, surely appreciate the update, is the brush creek fishing area under water or is it okay? And is anybody catching any cats?
BilletHead Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 It is not under water and brush creek is backed up real nice. There were two fellows getting ready to launch when we left. They were fishing for cats and they said they were doing real well on rod and reels. Using small bluegill and perch.
