Put in a Masters today. Fished Maze creek. Drug the slow death rig, and that's what I did, died a slow death. No walleye today. Caught a few nice male crappie, but could not find a pattern to save my life. Going back tomorrow, any suggestions? One one boy at the ramp had about a 6lb walleye. I was really happy for him. He and his dad were really proud.

I was bass fishing all day today in Maze Creek and around Price Branch. When I got up to Price Branch, I was fishing a Texas rigged pink worm and ended up with two 20 inch walleye, so I dont know what to tell ya, lol. The fishing was pretty scattered today. I will be back out again tomorrow as well. Best of luck to ya.

There's a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot.

Two weeks ago, I had a lot of luck slow trolling slow death rigs (.9 mph or so) on secondary points in 15 feet of water. Since then, I've heard main lake points are the ticket. I usually use a 1 1/2 oz bouncer in water of that depth. I tie my leaders four feet long or so and put a bead on ahead of the hook (usually red or yellow). I've only been actively chasing walleye on Stockton for a couple of years, but I've never tried the Maze Creek area. I have had luck across the lake around the island and points near Masters, but haven't hit that area yet this year. Best of luck, but leave a few for me!
