Duck Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 Put in at Viney at 7:30 am and fished Owl and Rock Creeks, the water got clearer the farther back you went. In Rock we went up past the highway M bridge. Total, 11 Blacks with one over 16 inches the rest 13-14 inches, all were eating well with fat bellies, 1 bream and 1, 16 inch crappie. All on either white spinner bait or smoke scrounger grub near brush. Water temp 63-65. The main lake was still muddy with some debris, and we had no luck at all there. Want to try dam area when weather allows. Duck.
powerdive Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 Nice report. The crappie are bigger than the bass around here.
Members waterdogg Posted May 20, 2011 Members Posted May 20, 2011 Up past E bridge? Past M bridge would be quite a feat even with high water.
Duck Posted May 20, 2011 Author Posted May 20, 2011 Could be E bridge, not very well acquainted up there. It was the first bridge up Rock creek. Duck.
T-RockJaws Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 First bridge would be "E", can't imagine getting all the way to the bridge on "M". Good report though, thanks!
