T-RockJaws Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Fished for a few hours last night out of Campbell Point. Water is still pretty stained in that area, went up and fished in the Big Creek area. Water a little better there, but still stained. Water temps ranged from about 61 to 64 degrees. Managed 2 keepers and a few shorts before dark. Seems like the bite just completely quits at dark. Most of our fish came on a watermelon chomper hula grub. Did have a fish or two hit a spinner bait up in the brush as well. Had one fish on that would have been in the 5 pound range, no net and she got off right at the boat. Good luck!
Champ188 Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Man, water temp is still 8-10 degrees below what it was in that area last Friday. That mid-May front was a doozy.
