Quillback Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 So if top of flood pool is 1130 and the lake is now at 1131.5, does that mean it had topped the spillway by a foot and a half?
Guest Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 So if top of flood pool is 1130 and the lake is now at 1131.5, does that mean it had topped the spillway by a foot and a half? Thats how I understand it.. This year will surpass the 2008 flood, by a long shot.
Martin Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 Maybe topped the "spillway" by 1 1/2 feet, but not the top of the dam....Tablerock's flood pool El is 931.00 and we're at 932.42 and rising....A couple of weeks back we hit 935.45....I wouldn't be surprised to see that 935 plus again here at the rock, unless they hurry up and open the flood gates more...But then again, better to hold as much as possible as to flood homes and business'......It's a mess, but it's mother nature, and we get what we get. I hope Phil and everybody else downstream don't get flooded again. He's probably tired a sheetrocking and painting, laying carpet, etc...etc...I'm not worth a flip at catching fish in this high water, so I'm just waiting.....patciently as possible....lol Quillback...Have you been out ?
Quillback Posted May 24, 2011 Author Posted May 24, 2011 Yeah I guess it's a funnel effect right now, water going over the spillway is less than what is entering the lake. Martin I have not been out on Beaver in a couple of weeks, fished the Indian Creek area then, never did very well so I've been fishing elsewhere.
J-Doc Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 If that's the case, I hope someone got a video of that. Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
J-Doc Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 After a little digging, it appears 1,130ft is the top of the flood gates, not the dam itself. NWA Homepage Link to Video Need marine repair?
