I made it down to Bennett for my annual trip with my Dad and some of my old teachers (my Dad is retired teacher). I had a great week with regular catches all day and through the week. I spent almost all my time in zone 1. Had my best luck with an olive wollybugger, BWO, and griiffins knats. A couple of tricks/patterns that might work for a while. If there is still a dark caddis hatch in the morning try a green and partridge on a greased leader. I figured this out on the last morning...don't know why I didn't try it earlier. Also, after the morning rush at the spring try walking a dry fly around the rocks. The water is up and the spring is forcing a current into the rocks. The trout are sitting under them and hitting bugs as they roll in. I also got some nice fish under the trees behind the spring. I caught my best one less then a foot from the bank.

I also caught some nice fish including a double at Mill Creek on my way there. Pic is in the wild creek forum.

Good luck and good fishing.

Doing some quick research, and according to a hatch chart I found the black caddis is a Chimarra aterrima. Looking at pic the nymph, it is yellow or orange, so one might want to try yellow and partridge and orange and partridge also.
