Wonder how pikeminnow taste?

Don't know, but they are slimy and they have a strong smell. I don't believe its the Feds that pay the bounty however, its the power company, Bonneville. They have gone through a lot of things to mitigate the damage to the androminous fish, but nothing has really worked.

They go nuts over Chicken Livers.

I don't understand the Crawdad lure though. They are primarily a minnow feeder, which is why they are devastating on the salmonoids.

We use to catch them on Rapalas regularly when the Steelhead smolts were heading out. We would also catch them at night when we occasionally catfished with liver.

CrappieFM, yeah I live in Washington now, but I'm moving to NW ARK this fall. Yeah the bounty is pretty sweet, if you like fishing for Pikeminnow full time. I live to far from the Big C to make it worth my while, not to mention I would rather spend my fishing time going for salmon and steelhead. Right now is prime time for Chinook and we also have an open Sockeye season in Lake Washington.

I am a fishing junkie so I wouldn't mind being signed up to fish for those Pikeminnows myself. To bad we dont have a bounty on some type of fish here in MO. I can't imagine much of anything that would be better than making a living fishing. Playboy photographer maybe but that would probably get boring after a few years. :D

I would rather be fishin'.

While I was up there they caught a family that had been cleaning up on them. The problem was they were catching them outside the boundary where there was no competition.

Quill, if you haven't been to Victoria yet, be sure and go before you leave. Its the only city I've ever been in that impressed me.

GF: It wouldnt get boring, they keep recruiting new models.

The only thing better is if you got paid by the hour and not by # of fish you caught. Just think, a bad day gets you just as much $$$$ as your best day could.

Only fish that they might put a bounty on are the Bighead and Silver carp because of damage to fisheries and injuries to boaters. The only fish that these species havent seem to hurt are the catfish. I fish on the Kaskaskia River, and the catfish just keep getting bigger.

They might have great wing feathers for biots n such. The crest feathers could be used for tying streamers. They might even have hackle, herl, or soft hackles. That or just use the whole bird for a monster brown.
