Members Kevin Wagner Posted June 14, 2011 Members Posted June 14, 2011 I would also be very interested to hear from any night fishermen. I went to the Rock last Saturday during the day and we were catching smallmouths and Kentuckys on football jigs from 13 Bridge to the Dam. But I havent' heard anyone say that the night fishing was getting better. With all the pleasure boat traffic at T.R., I like fishing at night better most of the time anyway. I would appreciate any advice on spots that might be worth trying at night. Thanks.

Wish I had more info but I haven't been at night since before the water came up in April. I know June is usually one of the best months of the year for night fishing and it looks like some guys are catching them.

If I am able to get down there this weekend, I will definitely post a report.

johnboy2bfishin Posted June 15, 2011 Author Posted June 15, 2011 i went out sunday night out of mill and was pretty tuff for me nothing to show for it. caught one short on bluff end and one short on long runout used salt craws and jigs. just wasn't my night. tried shallow to 40' deep just long slow night but will be back out later this week.
Members Kevin Wagner Posted June 15, 2011 Members Posted June 15, 2011 Please do! I'll be going down the week of 27th. What is the best technique to use? I personally like to texas rig about any craw like bait at night. Jig and Pig and an old black worm work well too. If I find out what they are biting on I will let you know. It is forums like this one that help people like me who don't get to fish nearly enough! I appreciate everyone's input, help, and advice. It saves a lot of wasted chucking and winding!
Tfsh4bass Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 Please do! I'll be going down the week of 27th. What is the best technique to use? I throw a single spin or swim a jig about 90% of the time and with the water up that pattern should be good for a while...just tough to cast. Short pockets and points for me now.
