looks like you'll still be able to access the river, but not cross over the spillway to the lake. Wonder if there will still be parking there

I just heard about this, too. Starts Wednesday July 6th. KY3 killed your link - MoDOT to replace Bridge...

I don't really go there anymore anyway - except for sometimes me and my son fish downstream for Rock Bass a little. I wonder if there will still be some access for putting in to float back to Ozark?

It looks like the access road to the river is still going to be open, they're just putting up barricades or fencing to keep people out from underneath the bridge. So if you wanted to, from Ozark you could go up through Smyrna to get to the other side of the bridge (west side), take the access road, then you'd be able to put in there and float back to Oz.

anyone know of any access then to Linden lake? or is that going to be totally closed off now? Is there any parking down Lindenlure drive or is that restricted

Linden lake is my fav spot. It's a perfect spot for my inflatable and is nice and secluded in the mornings. I've never gotten skunked there

Linden Drive is private, the gate might be left open, but somebody will probably run you off if you go in that way. If I'm reading the article right, there will be barricades restricting foot traffic underneath the bridge--So you can't get through that way. If you're up for it, I'd suggest parking where you usually do, wade across the creek, climb up the ditch next to the bridge, cross the road, walk back down the ditch and that would put on the other side of the bridge.

You could do that on the side with the parking, but it's much steeper and harder to get back down on the other side too.

yeah I was wondering if there was a path around there like that. I've always parked under the bridge but it sounds like they would have barricades there. But, there is a house on the gravel road so they'd have to keep the small dirt road open. So I take it your saying there's a trail on the SE side of 125. Never did much exploring over there, but I'll check it out

I guess where there's a will, there's a way.

we'll see
