bferg Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Wondering if anyone could help me with a question on the Little Sugar. I live/work in Bville. I am trying to find a few places CLOSE in to get my fly rod some action before work in the mornings. Can any one tell me the best access points for some wade fishing on Little Sugar- ideally close to Bville- like in Bella Vista area? Any help would be great- I would hate to get shot before work just because I am fishing in the wrong spot! Thanks for any pointers...
Members redfish Posted June 29, 2011 Members Posted June 29, 2011 The best place to go is across from DQ. If your coming from the south, go through the light by DQ and immediately pull off to the right and park behind guard rail. Walk down the hill and you can start there or go under the bridge and work your way down stream. I've had some good luck in that spot. You can also turn on Dartmoor Rd. at the stoplight by Nunally's old car lot and cross the bridge, pull off on the side of the road and fish on the downstream side of the bridge. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice Redfish. Really appreciate it. I am gonna go scout it out a bit in the next day or two.
troutbum479 Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 Go across the bridge after turning right at the light by the old Nunally lot. After crossing the bridge the is a Vet clinic on the left. I've parked there and walked downstream and done pretty good also. You can also park at the parking lot by the dam of the lake, and walk down stream. Probably more fishing pressure the closer you are to the lake. You can park at Crye- Leike and fish that part of the creek also. arkmoflyfishing.blogspot.com http://okietroutbum.blogspot.com/
bferg Posted July 1, 2011 Author Posted July 1, 2011 Thanks Bum! I will give it a shot one day in the next week or so. Going to Indian creek on Sat. Am.
ollie Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 Watch out for the salsa music and parties down there! lol "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!
