I fished pretty much the same areas as you did Walcrabass. We started out in Birch branch bass and crappie fishing. Caught one small bass on plastic worm (junebug color), no crappie. Moved to a nice deep point with lots of timber a little further down the Sac arm. I thought I'd try the Strike King sexy shad crankbait that I had around the trees. NO LUCK!!! Started fishing plastic worms again, caught a few more small ones on the same color. As it started getting dark I switched to the Berkley powerbait 10" black and blue worm. Caught one more on that and lost a really nice one under the boat. We decided to more out of the timber about dark and motored over to Greaser creek to crappie fish. Caught 2 small ones in 2 hours. Not a good night, but fun anyway. That's the first time I've fished that part of the Sac arm before. Think I'll go there more often.

I didn't get to go this past weekend, but it sounds like the bass were hit and miss. Also, I want to say thanks for all the great info in this thread guys! I am going to try to go on the full moon this Friday. Hopefully the Bass will be more active then.

Thunderin Gobbler,

Sounds like you fished a lot more in the daytime than I did. I have noticed that the night bite has not been real good this year for me. I missed fishing the few weeks when they were killing Spinnerbaits. I will probably start a little earlier this weekend and I can tell you for sure that I wil be fishing more Jigs. I am thinking that if the heat continues I will probably give them a dose of a Bare Stand up head with a good ole Zoom Crawdad. Pumpkin Pepper Dazzle, Bluegill Bandit, and Dirty Pumpkin with some Crawdad Oil. Plastic worms too if they don't bite them in half like last weekend. If you go this week please write in to the forum. I am having a difficult time getting on numbers of fish at night. I am betting that the better numbers are towards the dam.If anybody out there knows something please give us a clue.
