Wayne SW/MO Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Many moons ago there was a stretch on Roaring River between the bridge and the paddle boat lake that was heavily wooded, but rarely fished because it was full of water snakes. I don't recall ever seeing a heavier concentration and any disturbance on the water from fishing would bring a few to investgate. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
brother dave Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 A long time ago I found out the guy I was fishing with was very phobic of snakes to the point of trying to shoot the snake that fell in the boat while catfishin. Got 3 holes in the boat, lost a fishing buddy and the snake got away. I shop at the outdoor grocery store
Gavin Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Its unnerving when stuff like that happens...Almost stepped on a cottonmouth hiding in some willow weed while wading above Cane Bluff on the 11pt a couple years ago...Scared the you know what out of me.
