jim m Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 I'm a fat old fart that likes to sit on the bank and put out a couple of poles for cat's. usualy bait one with shad sides and one with a big gold fish. don't have a boat anymore so am restricted to the bank. bank access on our lakes is not good. lots of boat ramps and few places for the bank fisherman. one of the best places I have found is in the camp ground area just east of the town of stockton. ANY SUGGESTIONS! anyone wanting to share a bank just give me a shout, I live in Battlefield and can go just about anytime during the week
straw hat Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 I also like to catfish and most of the time I bank fish. I can understand your concern over the lack of places to bank fish. Over the last 10 years many of the areas I use to fish have had there road acceses closed. The only suggestion I can make is to focus on the rock rip rap at the bridges around the lake. Most of these have side roads that give access to the rip rap. I have fished nearly every one of these and have caught cats off of most of them. Good luck and I look forward to your fishing reports.
