Cocry Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Yeah, the pair were both cottonmouths. The original picture is a banded water snake (non-poisonous). And Cocry, I understand about snake phobia. I've known several people who suffered from it. I took one of them on a float trip one time, and we saw about ten times the number of snakes I usually see on a float trip--because he spent the entire day watching for them, while ordinarily I just about have to have one swim in front of my lure to see it. I really felt sorry for him because there was no way he could enjoy the day because he was so worried about snakes. It took a while, but I finally learned that reason goes out the window if somebody has a snake phobia. Intellectually they know their chances of being harmed by a snake are practically nil, but it doesn't matter because phobias aren't ruled by reason. I understand completely what you're saying. Scares the bejeezus out of me though.
BilletHead Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Here is a couple of a young blacksnake. When checking a food plot this morning this guy was found on the fence. Cool here this morning and I am sure he spent the night there. I had to run back to the house to get the camera before it warmed up and he left. Shot some pictures. A bit later after it warmed up I went back and he was gone, Marty "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!"
