I picked up a couple of these tackle trays last week at Walmart and

got to try one out this week in the kayak. I was looking to reduce the

amount of tackle I carry floating, so I condensed it down to fit in one of

these trays.

Well it didn't take long and I started having problems with the

latches falling off the lid, almost lost them in the creek.

Any wrong upward pressure on the latch when open would cause

them to come loose. I have other boxes with this style of latch and

don't have this problem. The plastic bar on the lid that the latch is pivoting

on looks to be the problem, is thicker at both ends, so the latch only has

so much to cling to.
