Seems to be no one on here fishing Truman or is it just that we are a quiet bunch? Went fishing Sunday and Monday after a bait shop owner in Eldorado Springs told me a place to go. Took the boat but fired it up and soon found out that the water pump had quit. So it was bank fishing all the way. We did have a good time and did catch about 50 lbs of cats. Could have been better and could have been worse. Did see a guy check his trout line Monday and he had about 80 pounds of blues in his boat. Got to order a new pump so I can get up there again for I just love fishing Truman.

More like the quiet bunch. I haven't gone up there since this massive heat wave started happening. Did you happen to see any topwater action while there, that all I live for when I go to Truman. Anyways, good job on the cats, hopefully I can get out there a few more times before hunting season starts.

Same here kind of quiet and haven't done much since the heat wave. I do go a couple days ago and broke one of the steering cables on the trolling motor that didn't do much for the fishing caught a few crappie it got hot so loaded up and came home waiting on parts now.

When we first got there sunday afternoon, the fish were going crazy yes they were hitting on top. seemed like everything was working. Lots and lots of spoonbill jumping and even seen some cats rolling. before we put the boat in we caste some lures out and caught some bass, crappie and a drum. Figured

the fishing was going to be good. Got the boat in and then figured out it wasn't going to work but by then a wind began to blow. I made it back in before the white caps started rolling in but with the wind the fishing slowed. The wind switched several times and so did the fishing. early Sunday morning the rain quit for a little while and again they started the top water thing. But then the rain came again and again the fishing slowed. Where we were fishing the shad were thick and so they were getting picked off as they schooled on the surface. with the front coming through as it did I see why the fishing was good for a time but if a person was to catch a good weather favorable day, I can't see why you wouldn't have some luck. I will have to mention I was fishing at the end of a tributary so this might be why the shad were there.

I've been up there about every other weekend since late march and always bring home a limit of crappie to fry up, during the heat wave I was catching them in 25 fow 10 ft down today it was hard to find a bite, going to let these storms lighten and go drop a few lights and see how the night fishing going

Yes I wanted to try night fishing with a light, but with the boat motor on the blink, didn't get to. Guess maybe next time.
