woodman Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 I tought I would try a superlight build...3/4'' foam board frome HD. I am resurrecting my first build from last year...http://ozarkanglers.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=24442 It will be nearly 2' longer and much lighter than the 65+lbs.... The construction is better now that I have had more practice building kayaks... The forms laid out with oak strips tacked on to check out the lines of each chine.... Used the oak strips to mark cardboard for templates... Had some scrap foam to try out the flexability... http://s147.photobucket.com/albums/r302/scrawford_photos/
woodman Posted August 25, 2011 Author Posted August 25, 2011 It is together next step to fill all the seams... http://s147.photobucket.com/albums/r302/scrawford_photos/
Bird Watcher Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 This is a really cool project. I think it will make a great boat when finished.
Flysmallie Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 I can't wait to see the final weight. Should be interesting. What are you using for filler??
