Members thefrog22 Posted September 1, 2011 Members Posted September 1, 2011 The light line for openwater topwater is generally fine, i think your problem is catchin em 2 at a time haha
Guest Buck Creek Mike Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Wormman, do you ever get "wind knots" when casting with braid? I worked in FLorida for about 6 months a few years back and used power pro with a mono leader and every so often would get one hell of loop/knot in the line, and it wasn't just typical line twist. I still use power pro for crappie at loz, but I'm not trying to chuck a lure real far with that.
magicwormman Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 I've had great luck with power pro, both on spinning and bait casting gear. I've used 10lb to 20lb for bass and used 65 lb for Musky and Peacock bass. It's a bit pricey, but it lasts for years and gives me very little problems.
