Members tkite Posted September 1, 2011 Members Posted September 1, 2011 Coming down this weekend. Will the aunts creek area be very busy this weekend. Any ideas on what part of the lake would be the least crowded.
Members Ozark Outdoorsman Posted September 1, 2011 Members Posted September 1, 2011 From my experience with TR the last year and a 1/2, it is still going to be busy just about anywhere you go unless you get up the James arm. It may even be busy but it is more fishing traffic and smaller boat traffic. If the weather is good the skiers and pleasure boaters will be out just got to fish around em.
techo Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 Learned to stay off the lake on Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day weekends. Hiking and yard work for us. Cape Fair used to be the place to hide but not anymore. Aunt's is busy as people are hanging around the swing. Unless you go way up the James....I am not sure where to fish on the holiday weekends. Good luck and happy Labor Day in any case. Tim Carpenter
Jason Essary Posted September 3, 2011 Posted September 3, 2011 Even way up the james has traffic. Not as much but with smaller water, seems like it. My answer, go after dark. Calmer, quite, cooler.
