Members T Hood Posted September 4, 2011 Members Posted September 4, 2011 Finally, a break in the weather! While I wasn't fortunate enough to land this guy, my fishing partner came through and landed the best fish I've seen come out of Lake 35. Pics attached.
Chris Barclay Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 That's a nice one! I always knew 35 had good potential. Chris St. Louis, MOcbarclayflyrods.combreambum.blogspot.com
stlfisher Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Excellent bass...especially for Busch. 35 has some nice fish. Hit it in the fall with some big bass baits and you might get into a bonus Muskie.

Once we get a couple more good fronts come through, we should see a few. The bass were taking plastics very well last weekend. Although the big one came on a weightless lizard, I got a couple on a chatterbait as well. It's becoming a favorite of mine; the best of both worlds between spinnerbait and jig.

I am big fan of the Chatterbait as well. I usually fish mine like a jig and throw it a lot at night. I'd just hop it on the bottom...caught some nice bass that way.
