Boobie Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Not that I dont enjoy Bobs reports,Marty was the first guide to give great reports a few years back. Always wanted to fish Stockton in my younger days but could never give up TR. I goofed up and went to Canada to catch Walleye and could care less about eating another bass!!! Finally turned to Stockton about 6 years ago and have been learning the Walleye gig! Mainly fish the spring but very interested in some fall walleye slabs. When and how do walleye start their fall transition. Any info would be great. Anyway, Thanks again Bob and Marty for the timely reports!!!!!!!!!
Walleyedmike Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 I was thinking the same thing boobie. He had a family member with some health issues a while back, hope all is well. WM
SmallyWally Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Your right about Marty. Always had his reports out and was very helpful offline to my dad and myself when we were learning about the walleye fishing aspects of the lake. Best wishes to Marty and his family. Boobie Posted September 14, 2011 Author Posted September 14, 2011 I hope that is not the case. If it is, "GOOD LUCK". I cruise buy his home on the way up to the dam area and say to myself that i will hire him to guide me some day just to see how its done by a pro. He seems to be a humble fisherman on a very nice lake which seems hard to find these days. Like i said before, not bad mouthing anybody but he seems to be "OLD SCHOOL" which i like. I learned to fish from my Dad,my brothers, and a good friend named Richard Crouch on Table Rock. What i have learned from the above fish slayers i have never needed a guide. Someday i will give him a call to catch some walleye.
Thompson Fishing Guide Service Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Thanks for the good words. I am here, with wall to wall trips. We'll get a report out this weekend...just got out of the routine of posting, so looks like we need to get back into the routine. And I do consider the old school comment a major compliment, and so will my dad. Just a reminder...despite the gas prices and economy, we have not increased our rates in 6 years, because we want to keep fishing affordable to our clients. Never a good thing to chase the almighty dollar. Marty Thompson Thompson Fishing Guide Service www.fishstockton.com 417-424-BASS Often imitated, never duplicated. Fish The Finest!
