I will chime in a bit on location. I can speak of the areas between Holiday Island and Campbell Point. I have been successful with the "head" around the docks. I tend to target the corners of the shallow ends. Most of the time they grab it on the way down and you really have to be a line watcher; or they are next to your boat before you start reeling. I have also had good success in chunk rocks (basketballs to large tire size). It is a great little bait that is inexpensive and will get you bit. I am going to start my kiddos on that bait in the Spring. They are dying to go with Dad to "the Rock".

Just my two cents...I prefer Watermelon Red or Watermelon Candy for my worm. I will also use Zoom finesse worms or shakey head worms.

Great point on watching the line, dwiebenga. Most of the time I really don't feel the bite on the shakey head, just see the line moving off. The fish usually just pick up the small worm and move off with it. Very critical to watch line closely or you will miss some fish.

I went out Sunday (yesterday) morning from 7:30 until 11:00 and caught 6 bass fishing around the dam. Two keeper largmouth, plus, one short smallmouth, one short spotted bass (13"), and two more short largemouth -- all on a 3/32 oz. shakey head rigged with a 6" Zoom finesse worm (green weenie). Water was very clear. All fish came from 8-12' of water and fishing very, very slow. Threw a topwater and a Zoom craw but didn't get a bite on those.

last two days 1/4 shaky head with the smoke with purple flake centipede been the only thing can get bit on 45 degree bank about 10 foot of water s l o w. not a blade guy quess I need to give it a try.

Yeah, I keep thinking I need to throw a blade as well, but since I keep catching fish on the shakey, I don't see any reason not keep throwing it.nCan't wait to get back to TR this weekend. Anxious to see how some of my buddies fishing in the BPS employee tournament do.

yeah, I like old shaky too only thing I often have to cut the line cause they are hooked so deep. that just me??
