Members phins
The water is on the low side but gin clear. It was starting to rain when we left so perhaps it clouded up some but light tackle is your best bet. We started at the bridge and worked our way upstream with good luck at either end of the Park but was very slow fishing in the center. I had success with spinner lures while my partner was just tearing them up on a more grey than white jig. Bait fishermen seemed to do better on the brighter colors like orange. Finished up using a fly rod upstream with luck drifting a nymph in the pools. Don't know what the fellow above was using under a bobber but he was 4 casts for a limit. No browns caught or seen. Too early I guess and they would have to be Olympic jumpers to get up the water falls with the sream on the low side. May your dip net stay wet. ciRe
I was down there myself and caught a few browns in the actual river. Went down river 300 or so yards and did okay. Caught a lot of nicer (Better than Bennett) rainbows in the first pool stripping in cracklebacks. I was the only fly fisherman up there for the longest time. When I started heading down stream the fish were few and far between until I started drifting nymphs in the river. Overall I caught 22 rainbows and 4 browns.
