straw hat Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Went back to CC where the wife and I got into the catfish last Saturday. Worked that water to death and only caught 1 small cat. I don't know where they went but I know where they weren't. lol Switched to crappie and caught 5 or 6 with only one keeper. The crappie bite was very light. Tons of shad on the surface and did manage to catch one 15" white bass. I was really bumbed out. i thought I could get into a mess of cats but I guess thats fishing for you. Maybe the next trip will be better.
nxs Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Pretty much the same kind of day we had. Put in at Cedar ( sure be glad when they get all the bridges fixed) Had 1-- 10" crappie right off and then about an hour later caught 3 that were 11" in about 5 mintes and that was it for the day other than one nice small mouth close to the ramp as we were leaving. Guy I fish with goes to Stockton at night and he's been having alot of dry runs catfish'n. Says it's been about the worst year he's had at Stockton.
